Alexandria, LA- Malachi Tolbert Signs with Southern University for Pole Vaulting
Holy Savior Menard High School is proud to announce that Malachi Tolbert, a standout in the Class of 2024, has signed with Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge to continue his pole-vaulting career. Malachi has made a significant mark in the school’s athletic history, holding the school record for indoor pole vaulting, a mark of 12’ 7.5”, which he set this season at the state meet earning him 3rd in the competition. His dedication and skill have also led him to victory in both district and regional titles for outdoor pole vaulting.
With a commitment to Southern University, Malachi aims to break more personal records and contribute to the team’s success. “I’m excited to join the Jaguars and continue growing as an athlete,” Malachi shared.
“I look forward to pushing my limits and helping the team achieve new heights.” Malachi’s achievements are a testament to his hard work and the unwavering support from his family, friends, teammates, and coaches, Morgan and Stephanie. “I couldn’t have reached this point without their constant encouragement and belief in me,” he added.
