Alabama transfer Luke Holman is set to make his Tiger debut as LSU looks to start the 2024 season 2-0. Holman is just one of the much-heralded transfers that have Tiger fans hoping for a season that again ends in Omaha. Coach Jay Johnson has put together an amazing class of High School recruits and transfer portal additions that got the year going with an 11-8 win over VMI on Friday night.
The Junior RHP was the Friday night starter for the Tide and had a stellar season going 7-4 with 87 Ks in 81 innings pitched. What the Tigers get in Holman is another solid arm that is set to prosper under new Pitching Coach Nate Yeskie.
Yeskie brings an impressive resume with him to Baton Rouge. He is the only active assistant coach in the NCAA that has been to the College World Series in Omaha with three different programs: Oregon State in 2013, 2017, 2018; Arizona in 2021 and Texas A&M in 2022.

His coaching acumen is very complete and current, and future pitchers at LSU will develop to their highest potential because of the opportunity to work with Coach Yeskie.
