Haley Fontenot of LSU Alexandria captured the RRAC Softball Player of the Week award for April 15-21. She is the 12th weekly winner for the 2024 RRAC softball season.
Fontenot was 6-for-7 at the plate as the Generals swept their doubleheader with Louisiana Christian University last Tuesday. The sophomore shortstop from Morgan City, La., delivered a double, homer and three RBIs while scoring four runs. Fontenot is second in the conference with a .534 batting average this season, and she is second in home runs with eight.
