LSU Softball remains undefeated after Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational

LSU Softball kept their 2024 season unblemished as they take 3 games at the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational in Florida this past weekend. The Tigers final two games got hit by the weather, but that was the only thing stopping them. It was a weekend that saw two dramatic walk off wins, including Head Coach Beth Torina’s 500th win in walk off fashion 7-6 versus Oklahoma State.

It was an exciting rain-shortened weekend indeed, but the time spent with the Shriners was a big highlight. The 12th ranked Tigers spent time signing autographs and visiting and showcasing that athletics is much more than just the game.

LSU will be back at Tiger Park for the Tiger Classic Thursday – Saturday with two games each against Boise State and the University of Houston and a solo contest vs Austin Peay. LSU now sits at 8-0. As they like to say Deal Us IN.
