Local Athletes Ready to Shine in 2024 Gridiron All-American Bowl

Football enthusiasts in Alexandria, Pineville, and all of Central Louisiana have a thrilling event to look forward to as the 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl approaches. Scheduled for Monday, December 30, 2024, at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, the game will kick off at 6:00 PM. This prestigious showcase features top high school talent from across the nation, including standout players from our local communities.

Some Local Athletes to Watch:

  • Darius Washington (Alexandria Senior High School): A dynamic wide receiver, Washington has been a playmaker all season, recording 14 touchdowns and delivering electrifying performances for the Trojans. His speed and versatility make him a must-watch player.
  • Jaden Lewis (Alexandria Senior High School): Tremendous DB that came alive in the second half of the season and helped lead the Trojan defense to the Superdome and the State Championship game.
  • James Lucas IV (Peabody Magnet High School): Known for his versatility, Lucas has excelled at quarterback and beyond, earning his nickname “Mr. Gridiron.” He’s ready to showcase his skills on the big stage.
  • Jacob Miranda (Pineville High School): This 6’1″, 190-pound safety has been a defensive anchor for the Rebels in one of Louisiana’s toughest districts. His leadership on the field has earned him a spot in this elite showcase.
  • Isaiah McKinney (Grant High School): Known for his agility and awareness as a safety, McKinney has consistently made critical plays for Grant High. His selection underscores his impact on the field.
  • Kourtland Elie (Grant High School): A powerful defensive lineman, Elie’s strength and technique have been instrumental in his team’s success, earning him this prestigious opportunity.
  • Kyle Johnson (Bunkie High School): A standout cornerback committed to the University of Houston, Johnson is known for his blazing speed and versatility, impacting the game on both defense and special teams.
  • Dillon Compton (Bunkie High School): A dual-threat quarterback, Compton has led the Panthers to remarkable success, showcasing his ability to make plays both in the air and on the ground.
  • JD Smith (Bunkie High School): An offensive lineman and team captain, Smith’s strength and leadership have been pivotal in Bunkie’s offensive prowess, earning him recognition beyond the local community.
