Senior Krystina Greene scored 27 and added 13 rebounds tonight as Oak Hill avenged an early District loss to knock of Top Ranked Hicks in a battle at Oak Hill on Friday. The Senior Guard was all over the court tonight offensively and defensively as she chased down defenders, loose balls, and seemed to be a step ahead of everyone on the floor tonight.

When asked about her performance tonight, “the Anacoco game lit a fire under us…we don’t plan on losing another game”, said Greene.

Coach Kaci West on the play of her Senior Guard, “I’m so proud of my number One… that’s the player I see at practice almost every day. Some people don’t see how important she is to us… she does all this other stuff”.

For her performance tonight Krystina Greene was named the 446Sports Quebedeaux’s Player of the Game. She finished with 27 points, 13 boards, 3 steals, and 3 assists.

Jodie Jowers continued to play well for the Lady Rams as she added 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

Senior Alexis Dyer put in nine but missed a good portion of the second half with a bad ankle. She did come back in in crunch time to help hold on to the 2 point win.

Lainee Johnson also had a big night adding 9 for the Rams.

One of the keys moments in the game came in the final 13 seconds as Hicks was whistled for a technical foul for playing a player that was not on the scorebook. The player had played previously in the second quarter but wasn’t brought to the attention of the officials. When she returned in the final minute the technical foul was assessed and an Alexis Dyer free throw made it 60-57. Oak Hill would add another point on a free throw to give the Lady Pirates one last chance with 10.1 seconds, but Hicks scored with under 5 seconds remaining and Oak Hill was able to hold the ball with less than the 5 seconds on the clock and Oak Hill held on to pull off the upset. Oak Hill improves to 22-12 on the season.
